Today I am sharing a space that is very close to my heart! Easter is a holiday that my family celebrates in more ways than one. It is a day that means a whole lot more than bunnies and eggs. Yes… my kids wake up to Easter baskets filled with springtime goodies and enjoy fun egg hunts, but, we also celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our church is currently doing a series on the 7 days leading up to the crucifixion of Jesus and I have been inspired to create vignette that honors this historical event.
Our dining room is located just off of an open hallway that spans our home and can be viewed form a number of rooms. I enjoy decorating because it is viewed by everyone who enters our home. I chose to make this personal vignette to display another aspect of what spring means to our family.
This rustic grapevine cross is another favorite spring decor item I found stashed in my arsenal. When I pulled it out this year I knew I wanted to make a vignette around this special decor piece. The pale robins egg blue easel chalkboard is so versatile and works perfectly with spring decor. I have used this chalkboard in various spaces around my home and I love to personalize it for each use. I have displayed it on my kitchen island to add a fun verse, saying, or inspirational message to my kiddos each day. I have also used it for a menu board while entertaining guests. The options are endless with this chalkboard.
I found this angel in one of my wholesale catalogs and I instantly thought of Easter. She is perched on top of a large stone which I thought was absolutely fitting with the biblical Easter story! I adore her and everything she represents!
The book stack perched on top of my fun chippy white chair includes a copy of the Holy Bible. I am honored to have a few family Bibles. These sentimental books have been passed down from grandparents or given to me from loved ones and I cherish every one of them. This particular bible was my grandmothers and I held it along with a huge, beautiful bouquet of pearl adorned stephanotis on September 28, 2003 when I married the love of my life. I don’t think I need to explain how special this Bible is to me! My heart skips a beat each time I see it.
Thank you for allowing me to share my story with you all! This vignette is a creative display of my most personal feelings and it brings me so much joy.
