As I kind of leaked on Facebook last week… I am excited to share a big project that I am currently working on! My husband and his building partners have finished one of their custom homes and I GET TO STAGE IT!! I purposefully used all caps because I happily welcome any and all opportunities to go… S.H.O.P.P.I.N.G! Yahoo, and yes… I am doing my happy dance! Here is a sneak peek at a few of the beautiful spaces that I will be furnishing and adding my soft touch.
The kitchen is absolutely breathtaking. I adore the white shaker style cabinets paired with the contrasting walnut stained island. The color of the island matches the floating shelves on either side of a picture window directly above the kitchen sink and large wooden beams on the ceiling. I am searching for the perfect bar stools to entertain guests and a centerpiece to display on the gigantic island!
The floating shelves framing the pass through window to the outside kitchen are calling for attention. I can’t wait to find the perfect complements to showcase here! A little vintage meets modern? Coffee station? My mind is overwhelmed with all of the possibilities!
The living room shares space with the dining room that sits adjacent to the kitchen. This room is HUGE, with tall ceilings and large wooden beams that cradle it. One side of the room is entirely made up of windows that allow the eye to go beyond this space and into the outside entertainment area making this room feel even larger than it is already. The key to making this room functional is to find pieces of furniture that fit the scale of the room, soft fabrics that will help to reduce the noise reverb you hear when walking on the hardwood floor, and coordinate since they will all be sharing this large area (I say this loosely because I am not a fan of matchy matchy furniture).
As you can see, the master bathroom is an open playing field! I respect how the floor plan has donated a lot of space to the master retreat where the future inhabitants will be spending a lot of quality time. My plan is to add some furnishings to the bathroom to soften the hard look of the tiled walls and make this area feel warm and inviting! You just might want to stay a while….
The master bath has plenty of counter space with a perfect little vanity for the future lady of the house. This vanity is definitely getting a romantic chair to accompany the fun chandelier hanging above it. What to do with the amazing counter space? The arrangements are endless here….. hummmmm…..
There are many more stunning rooms in this home, however, I am starting with these main areas. If the budget allows, I may venture off and show some love to the other bathrooms, laundry room, and possibly the built in desk area.
Stay tuned as I will reveal sneak peaks during the staging process!
Now off to do a little shopping….
