Happy Valentines Day!
I really enjoy decorating for the holidays… including Valentines!
One of the first things I decorate is the centerpiece at our kitchen table. This is the table where we gather nightly for our family dinners. This is also the place where the kids are served breakfast and snacks throughout the day. I love changing this centerpiece to reflect the current holiday, season, or fun event approaching. This gives us new inviting things look at while enjoying our meals and encourages table conversation.
I wanted to share our current centerpiece with you all since it is very fitting for today! This particular centerpiece includes one of my favorite flowers, an orchid, given to me by my husband as part of my birthday present a couple weeks ago. Since this orchid was given to me out of love, I thought it was completely appropriate to use it in my Valentine decor! I admire the touch of pink that the orchid and cookie cutters add to this display along with the neutral green moss. The way the orchid cascades over the moss ball adds a playful visual interest. The grey ruffled table runner was a perfect landing place for this chippy white vintage chair to rest its legs.
The best part is that this centerpiece can easily transition into a spring theme by simply removing the hearts and “be mine” block and adding some fun spring bling! Keep an eye out for how these same pieces will transform in the upcoming week to welcome Spring!
